Palmitoylethanolamide: history

How it began – Primitive creatures in the sea

It all began in the sea. Millions of years ago, a primitive creature lived in the sea that produced the organic molecule palmitoylethanolamide (PEA). Basically, this was not such an outstanding accomplishment on behalf of the creature, because palmitoylethanolamide is a relatively simple molecule.

Palmitoylethanolamide is found in almost all animals, in a large number of plants and also in human beings.

The substance PEA

The substance palmitoylethanolamide was only discovered towards the end of the 1950s by several chemists who were analysing the composition of egg yolks, peanuts and soy beans, among other things.

Further development of PEA

The next important chapter in the history of this substance was when the focus was directed at the natural substance found in the body called autacoids. Our body produces many autacoids, and palmitoylethanolamide is an example of these.

Since 2012, RSG has been working on the development of vegetarian capsules that contain only the pure palmitoylethanolamide, without chemical fillers or additives. These procedures are also patented and based on these patents, RSG produces its PEA products.

At RSG you can get PeaPure, as well as PeaPlex, which is an improved formula of PeaPure. PeaPlex contains PEA as well as vitamins from the B group that support the nervous system (B1) and the immune system (B12).

In addition, RSG also offers Pea cream.
